The origins of the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) are rooted in the Indian Cancer Research Centre (ICRC), which was established in 1952 in Parel, Mumbai, under the purview of the Ministry of Health, Government of India. In 1966, ICRC was renamed the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) and amalgamated with the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), creating the first comprehensive cancer centre in India - the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), an autonomous grant-in-aid institution of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India.

Post: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

To work on project entitled "Targeting c-FLIP-CaM interaction to resensitize tumor cells to death ligands for potential anticancer treatments"

Job Description : To perform protein modelling, protein-protein/ligand docking, Molecular dynamics simulation. Knowledge of database development will be preferred. Knowledge of basic informatics tools and languages like C++, Perl, Java, R, HTML, SQL, etc is required.

Minimum Qualification: NET/Gate qualification, Master's degree in bioinformatics, computational biology and biological sciences from recognised university with not less than 75% aggregate marks with two years' experience essential.

Experience: Prior experience in modelling, protein-protein/ligand docking, Molecular dynamics simulation required. Knowledge in software and database development will be preferred.
*M.Sc. degree having duration of one year course will not be considered.
Consolidated Salary: 43,400/- p.m. (Rs. 35,000/-+24%HRA) per month.

DURATION: Six monthsthe work progress of candidates will be monitored and extension after 6 months will depend on quarterly evaluation of performance.
