The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage.

Post : Junior Research Fellow

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (One) in an ongoing Research Project entitled "Identification of novel genetic links to biliary atresia using high throughput genomics" funded by ANRF, India (Sanction No. ANRF/IRG/2024/000126/LS, Dated 19/06/2025) for a duration of 3 years. The recruitment will be for the second half of the first year and is extendible, depending on a satisfactory annual assessment of performance and work progress by the ANRF. The project will be completed on July 03rd'2028. The post is purely temporary and co¬terminus with the project.

Essential Educational Qualification : MSc (Immunology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, or Genomics)

Desirable : a. Working experience in molecular techniques, flow cytometry, cell culture, etc., and familiarity with Bioinformatics.
b. : Additional qualifications/merits like DST-lnspire, CSIR-UGC NET, DBT-BET, ICMR-JRF, or equivalent national-level eligibility test will be appreciated

Age : Below 30 Years

Salary : Rs. 37,000.00 + HRA @ 20% (P.M.)
