Call for Research Associate Position at NIPER

Applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals for the following temporary positions under the project entitled “Aptamer-aided anti-inflammatory programming of resident macrophages for recuperation of chronic inflammation in atherosclerosis and chronic pancreatitis” sponsored by DBT-BIRAC, under the supervision of Dr. Ujwal Mukund Mahajan, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, NIPER-SAS Nagar. These positions are purely on temporary basis till December 16, 2027 or project end whichever is later and is co-terminus with the duration of the project.

Age Limit : 35 years
Remunerations : Rs. 58,000/- p.m. plus HRA, as admissible

Essential Qualification : Ph.D./MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after M. VSc./M. Pharm/ ME/M.Tech. with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
Desirable Qualification : RA will be responsible for all the aptamer synthesis and conducting in-vitro and in- vivo experiments.

2. The engagement is full time and purely on temporary basis for all intent and purposes, subject availability of funds. Appointment will be for a period of 01 year, which can be extended if performance is satisfactory and is co-terminus with the duration of the project.
3. The interviews will be held on-line and only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. Interview call letters will be sent through e-mail only. 8. Last date of receipt of application form/Soft Copy of application form through e-mail is 13.02.2026 (Friday) by 05:00 pm. Hard copy of application form can be submitted through Speed Post/Registered Post/Courier/By Hand on or before 13.02.2026 (Friday). 9. Candidates are required to attach the valid proof of deposit of the prescribed application fee, wherever applicable, with the application form. The application form received without valid proof of deposit of the prescribed application fee will be summarily rejected and no representation/request shall be entertained in this regard. 10. Candidates with incomplete application or without relevant supporting enclosures (i.e. self- attested copies of degree / certificates / marks sheets / experience certificate/ reprint of important publications, without photographs, signatures and prescribed fee) will not be interviewed.
11. The candidature will be considered as invalid, ab-initio, in case he/she does not fulfil the eligibility criteria. Candidate should satisfy himself/herself regarding the possession of required qualification, age, experience, etc., as stipulated above, as on the last date of receipt of application, before appearing in on-line interview, if shortlisted.
12. Since, the interviews will be conducted through on-line mode, therefore, the joining of the selected candidate will be subject to verification of educational and experience certificates, testimonials, etc. from the originals at the time of joining.
13. Age relaxation for SC / ST / OBC / PwBD etc. will be as per the Government of India rules. The candidates are required to attach valid proof for claiming relaxation as per the guidelines prescribed by the Government of India from time to time.
14. In exceptionally meritorious cases or under special circumstances, the eligibility requirements of age, educational qualification and experience for the position may be relaxed by the competent authority.
15. The process of selection may include presentation and/or interview or any other process as decided by the competent authority.
16. The Institute reserves the right to withdraw advertised position at any time without assigning any reason. Institute also reserves the right to fill or not to fill position and its decision in this regard shall be final.
17. The Institute will NOT be responsible for non-receipt of application(s) within the stipulated date due to any postal delay/loss of application/document sent in transit. Late receipt of applications may not be considered and applications received after due date i.e. 13.02.2026 (Friday)/Soft copy of application form received through E-mail after 13.02.2026 (Friday) shall not be entertained at any circumstances.
