The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage.
Post : Project Research Scientist
Applications are invited for the post of Project Research Scientist - I (One) in the Research Project entitled "Development and validation of a novel multi-biomarker tool for early diagnosis of biliary atresia" funded by ICMR, Delhi, India (Sanction No. IIRPSG-2025-01-03430, Dt.17.12.25) for a duration of 3 years. The recruitment will be for the first year and is extendible, depending on a satisfactory annual assessment of performance and work progress by the ICMR. The project will be completed on December 31st 2028. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus the project.
Essential Educational Qualification : 1. First class postgraduate degree, including integrated PG degrees (Immunology/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry
2. Second-class postgraduate degree, including integrated PG degrees in any of the above with a PhD
Desirable : Working experience in Flowcytometry, Molecular techniques, Cell culture, familiarity with NGS workflow, Proteomics and Bioinformatics.
Age : 35 Years
Salary : Rs. 56,000.00 + HRA @ 20% (P.M.)
