Recruitment for Pharmacists under Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Department

Staff Selection Commission(J.S.S.C.) has been constituted by the state Staff Selection Commission Act 2008which was published vide Gazette notification no. 829 dt. 6 December 2008 of state Government. The Act was amended by Jharkhand Act 03,2011 and Jharkhand Act 19,2011; published vide Gazette notification nos. 153 dt. 24 February 2011 and 687 dt. 11 October 2011 respectively.

Post : Pharmacist

For appointment to paramedical posts like Pharmacist, Laboratory Technician, X-Ray Technician and Nurse Category 'A' posts under the Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Department, apply for "Jharkhand Paramedical Combined Competitive Examination-2023 (Regular Recruitment)" in the prescribed form. Online applications are invited from 23.01.2024 to midnight of 22.02.2024. Detailed brochure related to application is available on the Commission's website jssc.nic.in. Candidates can submit online application as per the qualification and educational qualification mentioned in the brochure and within the prescribed age limit. The application form can be submitted by logging on to the Commission's website jssc.nic.in. The link will be available till midnight of 26.02.2024 to pay the examination fee and take printout of the application form by uploading photo and signature. Name, date of birth, e-mail ID of the candidate in the online application form from 01.03.2024 till midnight of 03.03.2024. And a link will be provided again to modify any incorrect entry except mobile number.

Pay Scale : Pay Matrix Level-5, Rs.29,200-92,300
Minimum educational qualification (from a government recognized institute)
10th or Matriculation / 10+2 or I.Sc. from a recognized institute.
Technical Qualification :  Diploma in Pharmacy / B.Pharm from State Government Pharmacy School, Ranchi/Patna or an institute recognized by Government of India/State Government.
Other condition : Must be registered with Jharkhand State Pharmacy Registration Authority/State Pharmacy Council, Jharkhand.

Examination Fee
(a) Examination fee Rs. 100/- (hundred rupees).
Exemption in examination fee
The examination fee for Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste candidates of Jharkhand state is Rs. 50/- (fifty rupees). In the light of letter no. 8559, dated 23.10.2019 of the Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Official Language, Jharkhand, Ranchi, exemption in examination fee is admissible to the disabled candidates of Jharkhand state with 40% or more disability. In case candidates belonging to categories other than Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste and local residents of Jharkhand state pay the examination fee at concessional rate, their application form may be canceled and their candidature may be terminated. Applications without payment of examination fee will not be accepted and may be cancelled. Examination fee will be non-refundable.
(b) Advertisement No. 21/2023 has been published against the backlog vacancies of paramedical posts under the Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Department, Ranchi for the reserved category, in which the total vacancy is 47. Qualified candidates will be able to apply for both Advertisement No. 20/2023 and 21/2023 together and the option to this effect will be available in filling the online application. In case of applying for both the advertisements, the same examination fee will be payable. If a candidate applies against only one advertisement, then in that case he will have to pay only one examination fee. Same examination will be conducted for both the advertisements.


Age Limit :
(a) Age in respect of the above posts will be calculated on the basis of the following reference dates:-
(i) Reference date for calculating minimum age limit - 01.08.2023
(ii) Reference date for calculating maximum age limit - 01.08.2019
(b) Minimum age limit : 18 years.
(c) Maximum age limit – (as determined by the Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Official Language, Resolution No. 29, dated 04.01.2021)
(i) Unreserved and economically weaker sections : 35 years.
(ii) Extremely Backward Class (Scheduled-1) and Backward Class (Scheduled-2) [Male] : 37 years.
(iii) Female [Unreserved, Aa. K.W..A. P. And. (Ans.-1) and P. And. (Article-2)] : 38 years.
(iv) Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste (Male and Female) : 40 years.

Procedure for paying examination fee:- 
Click Submit To Proceed Payment to deposit the examination fee.  A new page will open in which tick (1) the Term & Condition and proceed further by pressing the Proceed button.  After this, select JPMCCE-2023 in front of Select Payment category and pay your examination fee by entering your registration number.


Eligibility:-
1. Permission to appear in the examination will be completely conditional.  Issuance of admit card for the examination does not certify that the candidates fulfill the prescribed eligibility for selection for appointment to the advertised post because the Commission can check the certificates related to the eligibility of the candidates at any time after the examination.  If you are absent from the scheduled testing program or do not submit the eligibility certificates filled in the application or do not turn up within the prescribed period, reservation/other benefits will not be admissible and your candidature may be cancelled.
2. Before applying for the examination, the candidates should be absolutely sure that they are fully satisfied with all the information prescribed in para 5, 6 and 7 of the brochure regarding the eligibility related to the educational and technical qualification of the advertised post, minimum/maximum age limit, category of reservation etc.

Important guidelines for filling online application
(1) Before filling the application form, the candidate should download the advertisement and brochure and enter the information in the application form as per the terms and conditions of the brochure.
(a) After reading the brochure carefully, before filling the application, the candidate should ensure that the certificates required for the application are available with him.
(b) Before submitting the application, keep a scanned copy of your photograph and complete signature with you.
(c) Check all the certificates carefully to ensure that their name, father's name and other details are correct, otherwise get them corrected before filling the application.
(i) Applicants will write the spelling of their name as per the Matriculation/10th certificate/mark sheet.  There should not be any difference in the spelling of the name mentioned in the Matriculation/10th certificate/accard and the name filled in the application form.  In the information related to name in the application, words like Shri/Mister/Shriman etc. should not be used in front of the name.
(ii) Applicants will enter the same date of birth i.e. date, month and year as mentioned in their matriculation certificate/ac certificate in the prescribed space of their application form.
