TIGS is a unique initiative to support applications of cutting-edge science and technology in genetics and genomics to solve societal problems of the country. TIGS is a program driven research institute with a focus on solving pressing societal challenges. We are seeking applications from enthusiastic candidates to join as Research Assistant in a project: Screening for novel mosquito attractants and repellents
Roles and Responsibilities :
The candidates are expected to be involved in mosquito handling and running mosquito behaviour assays.
Job Profile : The candidate would be working on the project entitled “Screening for novel mosquito attractants and repellents”. The candidate is expected to be involved in mosquito handling and running mosquito behavior assays. Since this project requires various collaborations related to sample procurement, mosquito entomological and social survey, and innovative experimental designs, candidates should have good data recording and communication skills.
Essential Qualifications / Requirements
Master’s degree in any branch of biological science with relevant research experience.
Experience with chemical biology, mosquito entomology and/or mosquito behaviour are a plus.
Duration : Initially for one year and extension based on performance review.
