Job Description
Regional leadership role for Business Continuity & Organizational Resilience (BC). Ambassador and subject matter expert for all questions and issues relating to BC for the region, provides guidance and thought-leadership.
In close cooperation with regional stakeholders, such as Leadership Teams, as well as site-BC & Novartis Emergency Management (NEM) teams, accountable for ensuring that all functions are fully trained, and able to operate in the event of an emergency.
Manages and maintains the Global Drug Development (GDD) Business Continuity Management System. Conducts Risk assessments for physical assets and systems within the region. Upon request, provide BC implementation guidance to vendors.

 

BC Leadership, Planning & Maintenance
• Act as the regional GDD BC leader and go-to person for any questions around Business Continuity & Organizational Resilience;
• Activate and coordinate the BC Management response in case of a BC incident
• Manage and maintain the regional GDD Business Continuity Management System, across all functions and all divisions;
• Update the regional BC templates for each of the GDD line functions and the relevant regional sites.
• Update the GDD Business Critical Position Holder (BCPH) list, as well as the regional register of all BC roles (BCPH, BC team members & deputies, BC managers).
• Promote BC and NEM awareness and drive visibility within the regional GDD organization.
BC Implementation & Testing
• Conduct regular BC Risk assessments for physical assets and critical systems, within the region. Initiate and drive BC design and implementation as a result of organizational changes;
• Maintain and update the regional BC test plan and assist in conducting of BC drills in all areas of development, across all functions and sites in the region.
• Facilitate regional BC trainings, exercises and audits, and provide BC implementation guidance to vendors where required.
ISO 22301 Certification & Maintenance
• Assist the organization during ISO 22301 certification processes to ensure GDD achieving certification and maintain it throughout the years.
GDD BC - NEM Coordination
• Interact with Site Heads and regional HSE & Site NEM leaders, for coordinating training, exercises and actions in case of an incident;
• Update all relevant regional call lists and BC registers within the Mass Notification Tool.
• Update users list to ensure all required stakeholders are having their contacts up-to-date.
• Run validation procedures to ensure valid data are available on the tool.

 

Candidate Profile
University degree (B.A/B.Sc.) of an accredited institution, preferable in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical, IT, Engineering.
Additional studies in Business Continuity, Risk management, Project Management, would be desirable.
Languages:
English fluent in speaking and writing; command of one or more regional languages advantageous
Experience:
6 – 8 years operations risk management in pharmaceutical industry, Project management, HSE management
