Baba Farid University of Health Sciences was established under an Act passed by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in July, 1998. The mission of the University is to create an intellectual, academic and physical environment, conducive to free flow of ideas and exchange of information between various faculties of the University and between this University and other Universities of Health Sciences in the country and abroad,thereby opening a window to the world for the health professionals, health planners, health managers, biomedical and social scientists and educators in health sciences of the country.

No of Posts : 28 [General-15, Sc(R&O)-03, SC(M&B)-03, B.c-03, ESM (Gen) - 03, (Sportsperson - 01, Handicapped - 01)]

Consolidated Salary : 11,000/-

Basic and Professional qualification :
1. Should have passed senior secondary Part-ll Examination with science or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution.
2. Should possess a degree of Bachelor of Pharmacy from a recoginzed University or institution;
3. Should have passed the three months practical training in an Pharmacy Council of India set up under the Pharmacy Act, 1948 and
4. Should be registered as Pharmacist with the Punjab Pharmacy Council set up under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.

Age as on 01.01.2019
i. Age Limit: Between 18 and 37 years as on 1st Jan, 2019 (01.01.2019), Age relaxation as per the rules of Punjab Government.
ii. Relaxation in upper age for Sc/Bc, candidates is 5 years and for Physically Handicapped is 10 years and for candidates of Ex-Servicemen category, the age relaxation will be as follows:-
"For recruitment to any vacancy in the State Civil Services whether reserved or not under these rule as Ex-Servicemen shall be allowed to deduct the period of his service in the Armed Forces of the Union from his actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for direct appointment to such vacancy in the concerned Service rules, by more than 3 years, he shall be deemed to satisfy t e condition regarding age limit."
iii. Only those candidates who have passed Punjabi subject in Matriculation or above are eligible to apply.
iv. Reservation will be as per applicable rules and Punjab Govt, policy guidelines.
v. The Sc/Bc category certificate should be in accordance with the instructions of the department of welfare Punjab and the certificate for the Ex-Serviceman, Freedom fighters and Sports persons category should be in accordance with instruction of the Concerned Department as per the followings details:-
S.C/B.C : Certificate as per the instructions of the concerned department.
Ex-Serviceman : Lineal Descendant certificate duly issued by the concerned Distt. Sainik Welfare Officer.
Freedom Fighters : The requisite certificate issued by the Deputy Commissioner of the concerned distt, as per the instructions of the Punjab Govt.
Sports Persons : The Certificate regarding gradation issued by the Director, Sports Departments, Punjab.

Note :- Candidates applying under the above mentioned 4 categories, should have mentioned certificates before last date of filling the applications. No extra time will be given for production of these documents.

Mode of Selection
i. Selection will be made purely on the basis of merit in the written test to be conducted by the Baba Farid University of Health Science, Faridkot. Who will score minimum 33% marks in the written test, will only be declared as eligible and the candidates who will score less than 33% marks in the written test will be declared as ineligible.
ii. Merely appearing in the written test will not entitle the candidates for the right to selection unless they fulfill the prescribed eligibility criteria and other terms and conditions of the advertisement. Selection will be on the inter-se merit of the written test subject to the reservation prescribed by the Government.
iii. In case qualified candidates obtain equal marks in the written examination, then preference will be given to the candidate who is older in age.
iv. No extra weightage in age shall be admissible to the candidates possessing higher qualification or experience.
v. Experience of only those reputed hospitals/institutions will be considered for the post of MLT Grade-11.
a) Hospital/institution having well equipped laboratory.
b) Hospital/institution having full time patholcgist/Micrcbiologist.
c) Hospital/institution in which minimum 20 tests of different type are done daily.
d) Proof of Salary is also required.

Terms & Conditions
i. All posts will be on contractual basis initially for 1 year which can be renewed on the basis of work conduct and performance every year.
ii. Educational qualification must be from a recognized university/Board as per details mentioned against each posts.
iii. The written test will be conducted out of those candidates only who will fulfill the prescribed academic and technical qualification.
iv. The recruitment will be made based on the Merit of the Written Test Only.
v. No TA, DA will be paid for the journeys performed for the written test/counseling
