Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) is an autonomous institution that was established in 1989 by the Department of Science and Technology, GoI to commemorate the birth centenary year of Jawaharlal Nehru. Prof. C. N. R. Rao, FRS, was the founding President. The Centre was registered as a society with Dr. Raja Ramanna (eminent physicist and former Chairman, DAE) as its first Chairman.

Applications are invited for temporary position of Research Associate to work under the guidance of Prof. Bivas Saha, CPMU & ICMS Unit, JNCASR, Jakkur, Bengaluru. 560064.

Max. Age limit : 35 years
Remuneration : Rs. 46,800/-, Rs.58,000/-, Rs.61,000/- & Rs.67,000 plus admissible HRA). Remuneration will be fixed based on experience.

Essential Qualification : Ph.D / MD / MS / MDS or equivalent degree OR three years of research, teaching, design and development after MVSc / M.Pharm / M.E / M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI) Journal.

Desirable Qualification : The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in first-principles density-functional theory (DFT) calculations, including electronic-structure analysis, phonon and magnetization calculations, and experience with advanced workflows such as EPW and related computational techniques.
