Job Description
The person in this position is responsible for assisting the Applied Laboratory Coordinator in teaching PharmD students in the clinical skills laboratory sequence. Specifically, this person will assist with the facilitation of clinical skills laboratories activities for 3 to 15 hours per week as directed by the Applied Laboratory Coordinator and respective course coordinators. The work schedule will be determined by the Applied Laboratory Coordinator based on department need and class schedule.

Candidate Profile
• Pharm.D. or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Additional post-graduate training (e.g., PGY1 residency, PGY2 residency, fellowship) and professional certifications (BCPS, CDE) are also highly preferred and preference will be given to candidates with this additional training.
• Eligible for Pharmacy licensure in North Carolina with at least 1 year of previous pharmacy work experience. Experience working with students as a mentor or preceptor is highly preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication and computer skills
• Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
• Skill dealing with a diverse group of people
• Ability to work with and teach using electronic medical records

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Assist the Applied Laboratory Coordinator in teaching clinical skills laboratory content within the HPU School of Pharmacy curriculum.
• Provide mentorship for students in the School of Pharmacy during clinical skills laboratories as appointed by the Applied Laboratory Coordinator.
• Integrate and enhance collaborations among the clinical sciences and basic sciences in areas of education.
• Advance the service missions of the School of Pharmacy and High Point University to meet community needs. Act as a representative and advocate for the department, both within the University and externally.
• Utilize ExamSoft® or other software provided by SOP to conduct all SOP assessments.
• Provide unique targeted clinical assistance when asked.
• Abide by University and School of Pharmacy policies.
• Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Applied Laboratory Coordinator.
