Shree Devi Education Trust situated at Mangalore, Karnataka,India, established in the year 1992 was founded by educationalists having vast experience in the field of college education. The organization is located in the ideal surroundings, 1/2 km from the bus stand, 2 km from railway station and 16 km from the airport. The founder. Chairman of the trust Sri A. Sadananda Shetty is a receipent of the Priyadarshini Indira Gandhi Award.

Today, Shree Devi Education Trust comprises an Engineering college, 3 paramedical colleges, MBA institute, MCA institute, college of hotel management and college of applied sciences. In all the 09 institutions there are 3000 students, 200 staff and 13000 alumni.

Shree Devi College of Pharmacy has been established to train students in developing essential skills and providing a strong foundation in the ever-growing field of pharmaceutical sciences. The Institute offers, four-year Degree, two-years M.Pharm, Ph.D Programme, in Pharmacy. The 4 year bachelor's degree in Pharmacy had started in 2005 and the postgraduate course was started in 2009. The B.Pharm. and M. Pharm. courses are affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. All the courses are approved and recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi.

OBJECTIVES OF THE WORKSHOP
The mission of the Workshop is to provide education and training in basic research methods to post-graduate students. Ph.D. scholars and young faculty members. The primary objective of the workshop is to impart knowledge on basic research methods and orient for methodical approach towards their research project. The workshop takes various forms, including
1 .Concepts of research and its methodologies
2.The principles and applications of research
3.Fundamental concepts of qualitative and quantitative research
4.Avoiding and addressing research misconduct
5.Ethical and political considerations in doing research
6.Select and define appropriate research problem and parameters
7.Apply suitable theoretical and empirical methodologies to conduct research
8.Appreciate and practice research ethics.

The registration fee (non refundable) should be paid through Demand Draft or by cash payment made at SDCP office. Seats are limited.
Registration will not be confirmed without receipt of the fees.
Fees include workshop, study material, lunch and tea/ coffee.
Participants are advised to make their own travel arrangements. At the end of the event a certificate will be issued to the participants.

Accommodation:
Accommodation will be made on prior request in hostel, guest house, hotels (traffics ranging from Rs.150/- per day to Rs.500/- per day) on availability of rooms and expenses should be borne by the delegates.
