Government College of Pharmacy, Aurangabad has been started in 1996 with the efforts of Honorable Late Shri. Govindbhaiji Shroff as a part of his social obligation to which Marathwada region was awaiting. Initially it has been started as one of the Departments of Government College of Engineering.
