CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants is a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), which is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, formerly known as JSS University, is a Deemed to be University located in Mysuru, Karnataka. It was established in 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 and is part of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, which runs a variety of educational institutions. This deemed-to-be university is recognized by MHRD and accredited by NAAC with A+ Grade (3.48 CGPA). JSS AHER has been graded as Category-I Deemed-to-be University by UGC.

The School of Pharmacy came into existence in the year 2015, with academic programs D. Pharm., B. Pharm. and Ph.D. From the academic session 2019-20, the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has approved the increase in the intake of B. Pharm to 100 seats. Both D. Pharm and B. Pharm programs are duly approved by the PCI under section 12 of Pharmacy Act 1948. All the courses are approved by HPPERC and Government of Himachal. Every year, the faculties are participating in FDPs, Conferences, Workshops.
