Biological E Limited, the first private sector biological products company in India and the first pharmaceuticals company in South India was established in 1953.  Originally incorporated as Biological Products Private Limited, and launched by Dr. Vijay Kumar Datla, Biological E (BE) today, is a significant leader in the world of vaccine market.  BE supplies several essential and lifesaving Vaccines and Pharmaceuticals to UN Agencies viz.UNICEF, Pan American Health Organisations, other global markets and within India to Central and State Government Hospitals, Public Sector Undertakings, the Indian Armed Forces and the domestic retail market.

The National Institute of Nutrition is an Indian Public health, Nutrition and Translational research center located in Hyderabad, India. The institute is one of the oldest research centers in India, and the largest center, under the Indian Council of Medical Research, located in the vicinity of Osmania University.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following positions under the project entitled “Biomonitoring of blood trans-fatty acid levels in Indians : baseline data" funded by CDC Foundation, Atlanta, and executing agency is ICMR-NIN.

IDPL is the largest Central Pharma Public Sector Undertaking in India with plants at Rishikesh, Gurgaon & Hyderabad and two Subsidiary Units at Chennai and Muzaffarpur. During the country’s calamity of outbreak of Plague in 1994, IDPL was the only company which played the sheet anchor role in supplying Tetracycline for the entire Nation. Similarly, company had made uninterrupted supply of Chloroquine to combat Malaria epidemic in different parts of the country. In 2005 to combat national emergency (leptospirosis) arising due to flood in Maharastra, IDPL had supplied required Doxycycline Caps. within no time.

The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963. The Institute was originally under the Government of undivided Punjab.

This Institute was established in the year from 1963 in IMPCOPS, Chennai with a motive to study the phyto-chemical aspects of medicinal plants in an around the city. Later Central Council for Research in Indian Medicine and Homeopathy had taken over this Institute as grant in aid. In the year of 1979, this institute became a part of Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (formerly Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic and Siddha). This institute had diversified its activities to drug standardization besides phyto-chemical studies.
