The history of Jamia Hamdard begins with the establishment of a small Unani clinic in the year 1906 by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed, one of the well-known practitioners of Unani System of Medicine of his time. Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed had a vision of making the practice of Unani Medicine into a scientific discipline so that Unani medicines could be dispensed in a more efficacious manner to patients.

Walk-in-interview for the following purely temporary position in research project in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy will be held on August 27, 2013 at 10 am.

“Computational design of some novel, non-pteridine analogs as selective Mycobacterium tuberculosis dihydrofolate reductase inhibitors”

Qualifications: Persons with M. Pharm or MS or M. Tech in Bioinformatics/ Pharmacoinformatics Or M.Sc Biochemistry/Life Sciences. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge in Bioinformatics/GPAT

The appointment will be for a period of one year with the provision of further continuation, subject to satisfactory performance, for the duration of the project. The selected candidate will be paid an emolument as per the rules of funding agency.

The appointment in the above positions does not guarantee admission to PhD programme of the University. If a candidate desires to pursue PhD programme he/she will have to fulfill the eligibility requirements for Ph.D. admission as per Jamia Hamdard rules.
