Vacancy as Research Associate (RA) position under Emeritus Scientist scheme CSIR in MDU

Maharshi Dayanand University, ab initio established as Rohtak University, Rohtak, came into existence by an Act No. 25 of 1975 of the Haryana Legislative Assembly in 1976 with the objective to promote inter-disciplinary higher education and research in the fields of environmental, ecological and life sciences. It was rechristened as Maharshi Dayanand University in 1977 after the name of a great visionary and social reformer, Maharshi Dayanand. It had a unitary and residential character in its nascent stage, but became an affiliating University in November 1978. The University secured the recognition of University Grants Commission – the higher education regulatory body of India - for central Govt. grants in Feb. 1983.

Post: Research Associate (RA) position under Emeritus Scientist scheme CSIR

CSIR (ES) research project entitled: “Climatic stress adaptations in drosophilids: Impact of global warming in the western Himalayas”

Minimum qualifications: Doctorate/thesis submitted or equivalent degree OR having 3 years of research experience after MSc/MVSc/MPharm/ME/MTech. The candidate should have minimum five international publications in peer-reviewed journals in Drosophila genetics research each having an impact factor of more than 2 (or cumulative impact factor more than 10). Preference will be given to the candidate with theoretical and practical knowledge of Drosophila handling and experimentation. Candidates having research publication in the concerned field would also be preferred.

Age Limit: 35 years as on the last date of receiving application (5 years relaxation for female/SC/-ST/OBC candidates).

Salary: As per guidelines of CSIR-ES project, New Delhi.
