Padmabhushan Dr B.V. Raju Foundation’s Shri Vishnu College of Pharmacy in association with Association of Pharmacy Professionals conducted  5th Indo-African international Conference on “Recent Trends and Future Development in Pharmaceutical Sector” on 1st September 2016.

Dr. Subas Chandra Dinda, Prof. Pharmaceutics, Mekelle university, Mekelle, Ethiopia and Dr. P K Lakshmi, Prof. and HOD, Department of Pharm.D and Pharmaceutics, G. Pula Reddy College of Pharmacy, Hyderabad and Ex- Director, Drug Information Center, Karnataka State Pharmacy Council, Bangalore were the key speakers for this event.

Dr. Subas Chandra Dinda presented a topic on “Mucoadhesive Microcapsules: Novel approach in controlled and sustained drug delivery” and Dr. P K Lakshmi has delivered a speech on ”ADME of polymer therapeutics”. She enlightened the students about the role of biodegradable polymers in cancer therapy.

Students from various colleges across the state attended the conference.
Association of Pharmacy Professionals, AP state branch Convener and President Dr. Suresh V Chennupati, Shri Vishnu Pharmacy Institutions Director Dr. D B Raju graced the occasion. Shri Vishnu College of Pharmacy Principal Dr. K Prasad has presided over the conference.
