The Walk-in-Interview for the positions of Post Doctorate Fellows/Research Associate/ Senior Research Fellows/Junior Research Fellows and Field Investigator in below mentioned project/scheme will be conducted at this Institute on the date/time and venue and other details shown against positions on contractual basis, which is co-terminus with the project/scheme. The eligible candidates are invited to appear before the Selection Committee for Walk-in-Interview at NDRI, Karnal.

One Senior Research Fellow is required for the project entitled “Studies on Antioxidative and Anti—platelet aggregative Properties of DAG rich Rice Bran Oil and DAG rich Mustard Oil” under the supervision of Dr. Mahua Ghosh, Dept. of Chemical Technology, University of Calcutta. Duration of the project is three years.

The history of the IIT system dates back to 1946 when a committee was set up by Hon'ble Sir Jogendra Singh, Member of the Viceroy's Executive Council, Department of Education, Health and Agriculture to consider the setting up of Higher Technical Institutions for post war industrial development in India. The 22 member committee headed by Sri N.R.Sarkar, in its report, recommended the establishment of four Higher Technical Institutions in the Eastern, Western, Northern and Southern regions, possibly on the lines of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, with a number of secondary institutions affiliated to it.
