KMSCL is a fully owned Government Company for providing services to the various health care institutions under the department of Family Welfare as per Section 617 of Companies Act; 1956. The company was incorporated on 28th December 2007. One of the key objectives of the KMSCL is to act as the central procurement agency for all essential drugs and equipments for all public healthcare institutions under the department.  The company is procuring drugs worth more than Rs 400 crores & above 250 different types of medical equipments and also provides services needed for health sector. The corporation has also been entrusted with the setting up and running of all kinds of modem Medical and Paramedical or medical based ancillary facilities such as hospitals, pathological labs, diagnostic centers, x-ray/scanning facilities. The government of Kerala formulated KMSCL to provide best in class healthcare infrastructure services to the over 1300 healthcare institutions under the department of Health & Family Welfare, Kerala State.

The B.V. BIO-CORP manufactures products by its different segments like Biotech and Hitech (Trace minerals and complete range of Biosecurity product) using state-of-art technology combined with the research and innovative spirit of its qualified professionals. The division having years of experience of handling vitamins and its premixes through its highly accredited manufacturing plant (ISO 9001:2008, ISO 22000:2005, HACCP, GMP and FAMIQS). Along the vitamin premixes also have a range of proven probiotics, immunomodulators & other yeast based roducts. Disinfectant division established decades ago to give complete of biosecurity solutions. Complete disinfectant range of products to serve the poultry industry. Newly launched Aqua segment geared up to serve the aqua industry thorough its Health product, Vitamin premixes and Biosecurity solutions.

The Institute was started on 21st June, 1971 and has over the years grown tremendously in terms of infrastructural facilitates and the number of patients who are being treated, both in OPD and IPD.   The Institute has a Pharmacy which not only meets the requirements of the Institute but also provides medicines to other Institutes/ Units. The Quality Control laboratory of the Institute ensures that the medicines proposed in the Pharmacy are as per prescribed standards. The Bio-chemistry and Pathology Lab performs the tests for patients of OPD and IPD and research subjects. The Pharmacology Department comprising of Animal House and a Laboratory has been conducting toxicity and safety studies of new Ayurvedic drugs.

The Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB) is a growing phenomenon. Located in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala, RGCB began in 1990 amongst humble surroundings as a small charitable society called the Centre for Development of Education, Science and Technology (C-DEST). In 1991, recognizing its potential, the C-DEST was made a “Grant-in-Aid” institute of the Government of Kerala and renamed as Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Development of Education, Science and Technology (RGC-DEST), becoming the first institute in the country to be named after Sri Rajiv Gandhi, the young illustrious and visionary former Prime Minster of India.

Malabar Cancer Centre, Thalassery (MCC) is an autonomous institution under Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Kerala, started with an aim to establish a comprehensive cancer centre, providing the much-required oncology care to the population of Northern region of Kerala and neighbouring parts of Karnataka and Tamilnadu states. The main objective of the centre is not only to provide comprehensive cancer care but also to develop as a Research and Training Centre of international standards. A society named Malabar Cancer Centre Society was registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 with the above aims and clinical work in MCC started from March 2001 onwards. At present MCC has around 110 in-patient bed strength which is expected to be increased to 220 in near future
