The CCRS is the Apex body in India for formulation, co-ordination, development and promotion of research in Siddha. The Council carries out its activities and function through its network of 5 Institutes/Units located in Chennai, Puducherry, Thiruvananthapuram, Palayamkottai and Mettur dam. Solapur University was established on 1st August 2004 and was inaugurated on 03-08-2004 by the Governor of Maharashtra. The four-year Bachelor's programme in Pharmacy (B. Pharm.) affiliated to the Mumbai University was started in the year 1994. B.Pharm is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The MET IOP is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
