    CSIR- Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), Jammu, a premier institute under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), involved in multidisciplinary R&D programmes of both basic and applied nature across scientific disciplines for economic, environmental and societal benefits for the people of India with primary focus on drug discovery from natural products (medicinal plants and microbial species), invites applications for the Scientific positions.

    The key research areas of interest at CSIR-IIIM are
    (i) Natural Products/Medicinal/Analytical/Bio-organic Chemistry,
    (ii) Plant Sciences (Plant Biotechnology/ Biodiversity/Genetic Resources/Taxonomy/Ethnobiology),
    (iii) Fermentation Technology,

  • Workshop and Hands - on -Training on Plant DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics of Medicinal Potential at Bose Institute

    Nominations are sought from Heads of Institutions for names (maximum of 2 from each organization) of young faculty members / researchers for inclusion in a Workshop (including theoretical classes and hands-on-training) on Plant DNA Fingerprinting and Chemical Analysis of medicinal potential under the research programme on DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics of Medicinal Potential in Plants from Eastern and North Eastern India.

  • DST sponsored research project in the Agricultural Biotechnology Research Programme at NABI for the post of Junior Research Fellow

    National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI), Mohali, is an autonomous R&D Institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. The institute carries out cutting edge research at the interface of food, nutrition and agricultural biotechnology.

    Applications are invited for the position of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a DST sponsored research project in the Agricultural Biotechnology Research Programme at NABI.

  • BITSAT for admission in M.Pharm at Birla Institute of Technology & Science

    The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani is an all India Institution declared as Deemed to be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act. Admissions to all the Integrated First Degree programmes of BITS, Pilani, at Pilani campus, Goa campus, and Hyderabad Campus for the academic year 2014 - 15 will be made on the basis of a Computer based Online Test conducted by BITS, Pilani. This test will be referred to as ‘BITS Admission Test – 2014; in short as BITSAT - 2014 hereafter in this document.

  • Visiting Students Research Programme (VSRP-2014) at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research

    The Visiting Students' Research Programme (VSRP-2014) will be held at TIFR, Mumbai during the period May 12 to July 9, 2014.
    VSRP for Mathematics will be held from June 9 - July 9, 2014.  For details, please also see School of Mathematics website.
    Participants are paid a monthly stipend of Rs 7000/-, Sleeper class return railway fare and are provided with shared hostel accommodation.

    National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as ‘Beri-Beri’ Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Within a short span of seven years, this unit blossomed into a "Deficiency Disease Enquiry" and later in 1928, emerged as full-fledged "Nutrition Research Laboratories" (NRL) with Dr. McCarrison as its first Director.
