Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad, invites applications from candidates who are bonafide Indian citizens, to pursue research in modern biology leading to a Ph.D. Degree. Central Sericultural Research & Training Institute (CSRTI), Mysore, the pioneer research institution in the field of sericulture, was established at Chennapattana in 1961, under the administrative control of Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India for the over all development of silk industry in the country. The history of the IIT system dates back to 1946 when a committee was set up by Hon'ble Sir Jogendra Singh, Member of the Viceroy's Executive Council, Department of Education, Health and Agriculture to consider the setting up of Higher Technical Institutions for post war industrial development in India.
