Establishment of a centre for advanced research on developing novel inhibitors that target the protein translation machinery of malaria parasite. A Scientist with expertise in chemical library screening, synthetic chemistry, and medicinal chemistry to develop next-generation antimalarial therapies. You will design and synthesize novel compounds, screen chemical libraries for potential drug candidates, and optimize lead molecules for efficacy and safety.

The candidate should be a Registered Technology Transfer Professional RTTP, with demonstrated experience in the profession of Technology Management so as to create efficient systems for enabling technology transfers.  Masters with PhD from a recognized University in any of the following subjects Biotechnology, Microbiology, Genetics, Medical Genetics, Immunology.

experience in teaching / research / industry out of which at least 3 years shall be at a post equivalent to that of an Associate Professor. Pharmaceutical Chemistry (with Pharmaceutical Analysis), Pharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, Pharmacy Practice & related subjects

The candidate must have experience using analytical techniques like ICP- MS/ HPCL/ LC-MS/ GC-MS with a hands- on experience in handling Biological samples. Desirable 5 years research, teaching and design and development experience after M.VSc, M.Pharma, ME, M.Tech, M.Sc Life science, Biotechnology. One research paper in Science Citation indexed SCI Journal is Desirable.
