B.Pharm is graduation studies in pharmacy. It is paramedical professional course. One can pursues this course in the India after pre university studies or 12^th standard. And it requires 4 years of college studies. In different states of the India are having different sets of rules for P.U.C.

The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), the statutory body governing the pharmacy education in the country, has warned against the move by some of the institutes to start a second shift for pharmacy courses. PCI said that it would not approve such courses or students taking such courses as per the Pharmacy Act, 1948.

In an effort to pursue its demands on amending the Pharmacy Act, 1948, by taking the latest changes in the sector into consideration, the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) is envisaging a meeting with the Union Health Ministry, probably in the second week of April.

A diploma means folded paper. It is a certificate or deed issued by an educational institution, such as a university, that testifies that the recipient has successfully completed a particular course of study, or confers an academic degree. In countries such as the United Kingdom and Australia, the word diploma refers to a level of academic award. Diploma in Pharmacy is a first stage of pharmacy in India. D.Pharm was introduced in India to develop base of pharma field in India.
