RCU has been setup by Ramchandra Chandravansi Welfare Trust (RCWT) which was registered in the year 2006. Since its inception, the mission of the founding fathers has been to spread education to ordinary citizens of India, particularly those hailing from backward regions of the state of Jharkhand and India. With very humble beginning of two Intermediate Colleges 15 years back, RCWT has transformed itself into a diverse and excellent educational complex of technical, professional and medical related academic institutions.

The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is the first Institute of its kind to be set up at in the State of Bihar in the year 2007. It is an autonomous institution of national importance, established under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Govt. of India under NIPER Act 1998 at Hajipur in Vaishali District of Bihar.

Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) is an Autonomous Institution of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. IPC is created to set standards of drugs in the country. Its basic function is to update regularly the standards of drugs commonly required for treatment of diseases prevailing in this region. It publishes official documents for improving Quality of Medicines by way of adding new and updating existing monographs in the form of Indian Pharmacopoeia (IP).

Andhra University was established in 1926 by the Madras University Act to serve the entire linguistic region of Andhra as a residential teaching-cum-affiliating multi-disciplinary university. National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Guwahati (NIPER-G) is an autonomous institute of National importance and the first national pharma institute in NE India set up by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India by an act of parliament, to impart high quality Education & Research in the area of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Puri (CPS, Puri) conducts D. Pharm, B. Pharm. and M. Pharm in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Analysis programs which are affiliated to Biju Pattanaik University of Technology (BPUT). The courses are approved by All India Council for Technical Education and recognised by Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.
