  • Walk in interview for Senior Research Fellow at NICPR

    National Institute of Cancer Prevention and Research has a unique approach of amalgamating strong basic, clinical and applied research, involving medical and community practice with an emphasis on early detection, primary and secondary prevention of cancer. The thrust areas of research include the cancer of the uterine cervix, breast and oral cavity.

    Walk in Interview for the Positions of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) is being scheduled as per the details, terms & conditions given below against the each project. The candidates are advised to read the advertisement carefully. There are three different projects having the vacant positions.

  • Vacancy for Scientist, Research Associate, Technical Assistant at National Institute of Virology

    The National Institute of Virology is one of the major Institutes of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). It was established at Pune, Maharashtra State in 1952 as Virus Research Centre (VRC) under the auspices of the ICMR and the Rockefeller Foundation (RF), USA. It was an outcome of the global programme of the RF for investigating the Arthropod Borne viruses. Since the studies on arboviruses and their arthropod vectors involve most of the basic principles and techniques of general virology, entomology and zoology, these viruses were also considered to be an ideal group, to begin with, for intensive training and research in virology in our country.

    Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur owes its origin to the erstwhile Bengal Engineering College, the history of which goes to the nineteenth century when industries in the sense we understand today, were practically absent. Prompted by the idea of meeting requirement of trained engineering personnel for the Public Works Department, the then council of Education, Bengal, decided to open Civil Engineering classes and a Professorship in Civil Engineering was created at Hindu College, Calcutta, in the year 1843-44. A College of Engineering was started by the name of Civil Engineering College on 24th November, 1856, in the premises of the Writers Building, Calcutta.

INST started its activities on 3rd January 2013, the date on which its first Director was appointed. The institute is currently operating from its transit campus at Habitat Centre, Sector-64, Phase-X, Mohali, Punjab.

  • Vacancy for M.Pharm, B.Pharm in Cancer Stem Cell research at National Institute of Nutrition

    National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as ‘Beri-Beri’ Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Within a short span of seven years, this unit blossomed into a "Deficiency Disease Enquiry" and later in 1928, emerged as full-fledged "Nutrition Research Laboratories" (NRL) with Dr. McCarrison as its first Director. It was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958.

    Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following post under the project entitled: “Role of Micronutrients in Cancer Stem Cell Metabolism and Therapy” - funded by ICMR.

  • Job for Scientist, Technical Assistant at National Institute of Immunohaematology | Salary upto Rs 2 lakh

    National Institute of Immunohaematology was started by ICMR basically to solve problems in blood banking, slowly branched out successfully to initiate research in various other related areas of immunohaematology viz. biochemical genetics , red cell enzymopathies and hemoglobinopathies , population genetics, antenatal serology, Immunology, HLA etc. In the first twenty five years, using limited space, limited resources and budget, talented and highly enthusiastic young scientists from the center under the guidance of dynamic stalwarts Dr. H M Bhatia and Dr. A J Baxi could produce as many as 271 publications of which 71 were published in prestigious international journals. The centre had many discoveries to it's credit. Seeing this progress, ICMR decided to rechristen BGRC as 'Institute of Immunohaematolgy' at the time of the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the Institute in 1982 to accommodate all the departments of the centre under one roof.

  • Opportunity for Research Investigator at National AIDS Research Institute

    National AIDS Research Institute [NARI] was established in October 1992 in Bhosari, Pune on a seven acre plot. The Institute has progressively expanded its activities in various aspects of research on HIV and AIDS through infra-structural development, capacity building & research programmes. The present infrastructure includes the Institute housed in a 28024 sq. mtr space, residential accomadation for the staff, a power plant to ensure uninterrupted power supply and an incinerator for safe disposal of bio-waste.

  • Applications are invited for Scientist at Indian Council Of Medical Research

    Standard Treatment Workflow for certain clinical conditions will be developed by DHR and ICMR, which could be implemented by Government of India at various levels of health care starting from primary to tertiary level care and also to be followed by private healthcare providers. Effective implementation of Standard Treatment Workflows would be crucial to ensure quality health care in India.

    Department of Health Research has set up HTAIn for evaluation of appropriateness and cost effectiveness of the available and new Health technologies in India as part of the research governance mandate of the Department of Health Research. In order to establish an authority, systems for extracting available evidence, gather primary data/information through model projects for improving the health research governance in India and to examine the numerous and heterogeneous health technology providers, payers and adopters, HTAIn is constituted in the Department of Health Research. The HTAIn would be empowered to make recommendations to the Government of India after suitable health technology assessments through evaluation on the appropriateness and cost effectiveness of medical technologies, interventions and procedures for introduction /procurement in India.
