Govt. of Himachal Pradesh took up initiative in early seventies to set up a CSIR lab to make prudential use of the natural resources of the region. After several levels of discussions a formal request was made by then Chief Minister of HP to Vice President, CSIR in 1982 for initiating the matter, and giving final shape to the proposal. The dream of HP government finally came true in 1983 when the foundation stone of this National lab was laid as CSIR Complex Palampur by Prof. Nurul Hasan, former Vice President of CSIR, with then Chief Minister of HP chairing the function.

Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), a National Institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India invites applications for positions of JRF for 2017. The main mandate of IBSD is Conservation and Sustainable Utilization of Bioresources for the Socio-economic Development of the North East Region of India, which is a genetic treasure trove of plants, animals and microbial resources. This region falls among the World’s top 10 Biodiversity Hotspots. The broad areas of research are in Plant Bioresources, Microbial Resources, Natural Product Chemistry, Animal Bioresources and Bioinformatics and Database Management.

• Qualification: M.Pharm./ M.S.(Pharm.)/ Fresh Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Analysis / Quality Assurance with good academic record
• Age Limit: 40 years
• Desirable : 2-3 years experience of method development and handling analytical instruments like HPLC, LC/ MS, spectrophotometer, flash chromatography etc.

Temporary Position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the sponsored research project by Science and Engineering Research Board (Start-Up Research Grant-Young Scientists) on contract basis at Department of Medicinal Chemistry, B. V. Patel PERD Centre, Ahmedabad, as per following details:

Educational Qualifications : M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry) or M.Pharm. (Medicinal/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry) with at least 55% marks. CSIR-NET including LS/ GATE/ JAM/ GPAT qualified candidates will be preferred.

National Institute of Malaria Research (NIMR) was established in 1977 as 'Malaria Research Centre', which was renamed as 'National Institute of Malaria Research' in November 2005. NIMR is one of the institutes of the Indian Council of Medical Research (an autonomous body under Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India). The Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB) is a growing phenomenon. Located in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala, RGCB began in 1990 amongst humble surroundings as a small charitable society called the Centre for Development of Education, Science and Technology (C-DEST). In 1991, recognizing its potential, the C-DEST was made a "Grant-in-Aid" institute of the Government of Kerala and renamed as Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Development of Education, Science and Technology (RGC-DEST), becoming the first institute in the country to be named after Sri Rajiv Gandhi, former Prime Minster of India. On April 18, 1994 the Government of Kerala took a landmark decision to restructure the institute into a comprehensive biotechnology center and thus was created the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology.
