Shree N. L. Patel College of Pharmacy, Umrakh was established in the year 2004 under the ages of Vidyabharti Trust with main objective of visionary in the mission of quality Pharmacy education.  The Shree N. L. Patel College of Pharmacy is located on the way of Bardoli-Mota road 3 kilometer away from Bardoli and 34 kilometer away from Surat in a lush green sprawling campus with sufficient infrastructure facilities.  The college is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, recognized by Government of Gujarat and affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (GTU), Ahmadabad.

The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963. The Institute was originally under the Government of undivided Punjab. After the reorganization of the state, the administrative control of the institute passed on to the Union Territory of Chandigarh in November 1966.

Raja Bahadur Venkat Rama Reddy was born on August 22, 1869, in a middle class family at Rayanpet in Wanaparthy. He lost his parents early in his childhood and was brought up by his uncle, William Wahab, who had a great influence on him. He had great passion for education which made him pursue further studies, in spite of opposition from his relatives. At the age of 18, Venkat Rama Reddy entered the police service of the erstwhile Hyderabad State and rose to the position of Police Commissioner of Hyderabad City, the first Hindu to do so. The Nizam of Hyderabad honored Sri Venkat Rama Reddy with the title of “Raja Bahadur” in recognition of his services to the state.

The Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) is a Comprehensive Cancer Centre with a mission to achieve the highest standards in patient care, cancer prevention, cancer research and professional development for oncology and allied disciplines. TMC is a autonomous body funded, controlled by the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. TMC is affiliated to Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI). The HBNI is a Deemed University of the Department of Atomic Energy with a mission to develop high quality postgraduate educational programs in science and technology including those related to life and health sciences.

The North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, established on 15th August, 1990 under the Maharashtra Universities Act, XXIX of 1989, started its academic and administrative functioning from the academic year 1991-92. Within the span of 3 years, the University is recognized under section 2 (f) in 1991 and 12 (B) in 1994 under the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956. The jurisdiction of the University is extended over three districts i.e. Jalgaon, Dhule and Nandurbar, a pre-dominantly tribal and rural area of Khandesh region.

Today, the University has over 5000 students and more than 430 faculty members. The faculty at the University represent an eclectic mix of Industry and Academic experience; national and international experiences.
