Department of Science, Technology and Environment, Government of Punjab (GoP) with the financial support of Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India (GoI) setup Punjab Biotechnology Incubator (PBTI) in 2005. PBTI is a component of Agri Food Biotechnology Cluster, Knowledge City, Sector 81, SAS Nagar (Mohali). PBTI, a registered Society under Societies Registration Act is professionally governed by Governing Council under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Punjab. PBTI started providing hi-end world class NABL accredited analytical services to Agri, Food, Environment and Allied Sectors from transit premises in Mohali. In addition, contract research services, technology validation services and Project Management Consultancy (PMC)/Project Management Advisory (PMA) services are also being provided. Farmers, entrepreneurs, startups, industries, exporters and regulators etc.

Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali (Punjab), an autonomous institution of Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has been established under the umbrella of NANO MISSION, initiated by DST to boost research and development in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in India. INST started its activities on 3rd January 2013, the date on which its first Director was appointed.

The IISER an Institute of National Importance, established by the Govt, of India is committed to foster quality Science Education and Research. IISER Bhopal aims to provide quality science education to UG and PG students. The prime focus of the Institute is to integrate science education with research. Also, the Institute is committed to impart high ethical values and create social and environment awareness.

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata (IISER Kolkata) was established in 2006 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. IISER Kolkata is designed to reach the prestigious position in the global setting that IISc, IIMs and IITs presently enjoy. IISER Kolkata is an autonomous institution awarding its own degrees. The central theme of the IISER Kolkata is to integrate education with research so that undergraduate teaching as well as doctoral and postdoctoral research work could be carried out in symbiosis.

The Government of Haryana has established a Medical College and Hospital with all modern amenities in the heart of Karnal city in the name of Kalpana Chawla, famous astronaut. The Medical College and Hospital is spread over an area of more than 50 acres. The Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad (IITPKD) is established as an autonomous institute of national importance by the Government of India. It is currently located inside the scenic Ahalia Integrated Campus, Kozhipara, Palakkad, 678557. Considering that the IIT is in its infancy, good facilities are available in its present campus, and more are being set up/planned. Land for the permanent campus was made available by the Government of Kerala near the Sahya mountains, and construction activities have already started.

NCBS would like to have at least 7 YIPs at steady state, and is keen on making at least one new YIP appointment a year. Salary and benefits will be attractive. Accommodation, at nominal rent, will be provided.
