Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences is a Post Graduate Institute for training, research and patient care. With this objective, various committees appointed by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir identified the specialties in which postgraduate and post doctoral courses would be undertaken. By an Act of Legislature on 19th August 1983, Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences was granted a Deemed University status.

The Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai was established as the Department of Chemical Technology on 1st October 1933 by the University of Mumbai, through active support of industries and philanthropists. The Institute was most popularly known as UDCT, Mumbai. Research has been an integral part of ICT since its inception and it has created over 500 first generation entrepreneurs. The UDCT grew significantly in stature and was granted autonomy under UGC regulations by the University of Mumbai and further converted into an Institute on 26th January 2002. The Institute has created necessary physical infrastructure and critical platform technologies to support research, translation and training in biomedical genomics.

A position for a highly motivated person capable of working independently as a Postdoctoral Fellow is available for an extramurally funded project being conducted at the National lnstitute of Biomedical Genomics (NIBMG), Kalyani.
