Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Biotechnology Research Innovation Council (BRIC), an organisation of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, invites applications from Indian Nationals to join the following position sanctioned under the DBT project.
Post : Junior Research Fellow (01 position)
Project title : Development of genomic resources, elite lines and germplasm conservation on high density rootstocks in apple under Himalayan Bioresource Mission.
Duration of the Project : 2 years
Project Investigator : Dr. Namisha Sharma
Remuneration : INR 31,000/- + HRA@16%
Age Limit : 28 years
Eligibility : Candidates with an M.Sc. or an equivalent qualification in Life Sciences or allied subjects such as Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry, with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade point (50% for OBC/ST/SC), are eligible to apply. Candidates must have qualified for a national-level exam, such as NET/GATE/GPAT/BET, etc.
Candidates with knowledge in Bioinformatics and hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques, and having experience with the analysis of NGS data will be preferred.
All the positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The Director's decision on candidate selection will be final, and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
