Biophore to Acquire FDA-Approved Sterile Injectable Manufacturing Facility in Indore

Biophore has announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement with Par Health to acquire an FDA-approved sterile injectable manufacturing facility in Indore, India.

The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to applicable Indian regulatory requirements and other customary closing conditions.

The acquisition will add sterile fill-finish capabilities to Biophore’s global finished-dose manufacturing network and strengthen the company’s ability to meet growing global demand for complex generic and proprietary injectable medicines.

Located in a Special Economic Zone (SEZ), the export-oriented facility is FDA approved and features advanced bulk formulation capabilities, automated fill-finish lines and commercial-scale packaging infrastructure.

The Indore facility will complement Biophore’s existing non-parenteral manufacturing network and represents an important step in the company’s strategy to establish a broader global parenteral manufacturing platform.

With the addition of specialized sterile injectable capacity, Biophore expects to leverage its existing portfolio of parenteral APIs while supporting customers and partners with reliable access to high-quality injectable medicines across regulated international markets.

The company also highlighted the expertise of the Indore facility’s workforce. Biophore said the experienced employees will become an important part of the transaction, with their capabilities expected to complement the company’s existing workforce, quality systems and operational practices.

Commenting on the acquisition, Dr. Manik Reddy Pullagurla, Co-Founder & CSO of Biophore, said the transaction represents a meaningful milestone in the company’s long-term growth strategy.

Dr. Jagadeesh Babu Rangisetty, Co-Founder & Group Managing Director, added that the Indore facility will strengthen Biophore’s global manufacturing network and enhance its ability to address increasing demand for complex injectable products.
