The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) is the country's premier national Institute for agricultural research, education and extension. Applications are invited in prescribed pro forma for the following posts under the projects mentioned along with the post, detailed qualification and pay etc. of the posts are given below:

Post: Research Associate, Junior Research Fellow

Subject: Recruitment of research staff in external funded projects

Research Associate “ RNAi and other cutting edge technological intervention to develop inset-pest, diseases &viruses tolerant tomato hybrids for Indian & International markets”
BIPP, DBT (PI- Dr. Shelly Praveen)
No. of posts: One
Qualification: Ph.D/M.Sc. (with 3 years of laboratory experience) in Biochemistry /Biotechnology/Life Science. Job requirement includes phenotyping of virus resistant material, maintenance of virus cultures. Development of infectious clones.
Desirable qualifications: i) Experience in the area of molecular cloning. Southern/Northern/ Western hybridization. ii) Experience in handling softwares involved in Life Sciences research.
Pay: 23,000/-P.M. +HRA as admissible

Junior Research Fellow BIPP, DBT (PI- Dr. Shelly Praveen)
No. of posts: One
Emoluments: Rs. 14000 + 30% HRA
Qualification: M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/ Life Sciences / Plant Molecular Biology
Desirable qualifications: i) Hands on experience in molecular biology, ii) Experience in handling softwares involved in Life Sciences research.
Pay: 12,000/-P.M. +HRA as admissible

1. Age maximum 35 years on the date of advertisement, relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/women and 3 years for OBC candidates.
2. The positions are purely temporary and shall be terminated on termination of the project.
3. NET/GATE qualified preferred (Non-NET and non-GATE qualified) candidates with desirable experience may also apply.
4. The eligible candidates may apply on prescribed pro format only through ordinary post only. No other documents like attested copies of testimonials or research papers should be attached. Candidates are advised to write the name of the project and post applied for on top left of the envelop. Applications must reach the Principal Investigator, Division of Plant Pathology, IARI, New Delhi-110012 within 15 days from the date of appearance of advertisement in News paper/ IARI website. Call letter will be issued for interview to the selected candidates after screening.

6. If any information furnished by the candidate is found incorrect, his/her candidature will be rejected without notice and no correspondence will be entertained in this matter.
7. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
