Job Description:
Role encompasses application expertise for defining products specifications, evaluations, and application development with special emphasis on Biacore product pipeline. The role will focus on developing applications and products ideas aligned to our strategy of developing products & solutions for the emerging/global markets in the biopharma/ biotech areas by leveraging the local/global vendor base & also leveraging the knowledge from global teams.

Essential Responsibilities
• Join the team of Life Sciences, India as Application Scientist. Responsibility includes, executing Life Sciences new product.
• Development programs; develop and run verification & validation protocols to support faster new product introductions (NPI).
• Work closely with product development teams locally and globally in a cross-functional environment to ensure development and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities/essential functions include:
• Work in a team environment and contribute in developing a good understanding about the customer requirements, define product specifications and develop applications on products in the areas of biophysical and biochemical characterization, with focus on Biacore product line.
• Develop protocols and methods for verification and validation of new products.

Qualifications/Requirements
•Masters with 3-5 yrs of experiences/ PhD degree in any areas of Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biophysics, Structural Biology or Molecular Biology is a must.
•Research experience in biophysical and biochemical characterization is a required.
•Good knowledge of the theory of protein binding interactions, concepts of affinity and avidity measurements, kinetic and equilibrium state binding measurements, mathematical understanding of binding and dissociation equations and also the thermodynamics that underlies biomolecular interactions.
•Additional knowledge of calorimetry as well as other biophysical technologies is a key.
•Proficiency in evaluating the binding interaction and thermodynamics data, familiarity with standard biochemistry, analytical chemistry is required.

Desired Characteristics
•Prior experience with Biacore/ Surface Plasmon Resonance instruments is desirable.
•Proven excellence in communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
•Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously in a cross-functional team globally.

•Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position

•Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, Providing solutions when possible.
