It stands committed to building an enabling environment wherein those infected and affected by HIV play a central role in all responses to the epidemic – at state, district and grassroot level.

Applications are invited for the position of (1) Programme Officer (Quality Control) in National Blood Transfusion Council for engagement on contract basis. The following are the job descriptions and educational qualifications/Experience for the post:

Post: Programme Officer (Quality Control)

Minimum Essential Qualification & Experience:
• M.D. (Transfusion Medicine/Pathology/Microbiology) or Ph.D. (Biological Sciences).
• At least 1 year experience in Quality System in a Health Sector at a senior level.
• Working knowledge of English and Hindi,
• Excellent communication skill, both written and verbal.
• Good knowledge of computers.


Nature of duties:
• Implementation of standards laid down by TRG (BS) and NACO in Blood Transfusion Services.
• Training programme for Blood Bank Medical and Para-medical staff on quality system.
• To device system for implementation of External and Internal Quality Assessment Schemes.
• To liaise with States for External and Internal Audit of Blood Banks.
• To assist SACS for development of Quality System in Blood Banks in their own states.
• To submit report upon completion of assignment.
• Any other work as assigned by Asstt. Director General (Blood Safety), NACO/ Director (NBTC)

Remuneration
Consolidated payment in the range of Rs. 51,750/ - 7 5 ,000/- per month (depending upon experience).
