University of Pune, one of the premier universities in India, is positioned in the North-western part of Pune city. It occupies an area of about 411 acres. It was established on 10th February, 1948 under the Poona University Act. The university houses 46 academic departments. It is popularly known as the 'Oxford of the East'. Position : Junior Research Fellow

Applications are invited for temporary assignments of JRF on DST sponsored project "Flexible binuclear transition metal complexes: DNA binding, cleavage and cytotoxicity study"

Project Investigator: Dr. Avinash S. Kumbhar, Department of Chemistry

Qualification: M.Sc. in chemistry with at least 55% aggregate marks (Students presently in semester IV may also apply). preferebly- NET-LS, GATE- qualified

Age Limit: 28 years

Fellowship: For GATE qualified Rs 16,000- pm for the first two years and Rs. 18.000'- pm for the third year.

For NFT-LS qualified Rs. 12.000 /- pm for the first two years and Rs. 14.000'- pm for the third year.

Duration: 3 years.
