Role Summary/Purpose
Partner with Global Research Organization & P&L product development to be single point of contact for research activities in the India region for the Healthcare Business helping GE satisfy research needs.
• Reports to GE Healthcare General Manager of Global Field Research Programs
• Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

Essential Responsibilities
• Establish close working relationships with the technology, medical, clinical, regulatory, legal, and strategic research organizations to define and manage research projects associated with the business strategic research priorities
• Provide insight to GE colleagues on strategic and research priorities at academic sites as needed
• Assess site capabilities at academic sties in India region (i.e. understand site expertise, site patient populations, unique geographic considerations, non-GEHC research results at sites)
• Partner with the P&L/ Product Research Managers to track and manage all research activities and studies with GEHC academic partners in the India region, including tracking milestones, receipt of research deliverables, and approval of payments for research studies to facilitate execution of in-process research
• Work with GCRO to ensure timely collection of study documentation & completion of requirements for study closure
• Track & report quality of research provided at sites
• Articulate alignment and value of research to internal and external stakeholders
• Act a as the single point of contact for the commercial team in the India region on research related matters, in accordance with compliance guidelines
• Resolve any research related outstanding issues at academic sites in the X India region, in a timely manner
• Manage and own the comprehensive research agreements (CRAs) for academic sites in the India region
• Drive alignment and clarity between all GEHC and academic sites. Act as a research advocate for the academic sites in your portfolio
• Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this position

Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelors in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or related field
• 15+ Years of relevant experience medical technology & applications
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate with the academic sites and GE executives
• Strong project management skills. Collaborate with others to drive projects to closure
• Ability to influence locally and globally to ensure studies are performed appropriately
• Ability and willingness to travel

Desired Characteristics
• Experience working with IRBs / Ethics Committees and regulatory agencies
• Advanced degree (MS / PhD) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Engineering, or an MD degree
• Industry expert, understand market dynamics, trends, regulatory environment
• Experience in working directly with academic researchers
