Job Description:
Areas of Responsibility

The Team Lead - Process Development will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Prepare development reports; Execute and follow up on technology transfer projects; Execute the pilot plant scale up and validate the same at plant; Participate in the first level discussions of technology transfer
  • Search relevant literature on process improvement; Preparation of possible schemes; Study current schemes and report observations to Senior Team Leader; Participate in laboratory experiments planning, monitoring and conducting the experiments; Review and check the laboratory data; Collect and review the analytical data; Prepare the progress of work and provide the monthly report to supervisor
  • Participate in discussions with cross functional team leaders with supervisor for troubleshooting; Allocation of laboratory experiments to subordinate to collect data for substantiating the root cause analysis;  Collect the experimental data for review by the supervisor
  • Assist to plan the laboratory experiments for vendor qualification requirements of new/ alternate vendors and allocate the same to subordinates; Monitor the progress of work and provide the data to supervisor
  • Follow up for procurement of raw materials; Monitor the calibrations of laboratory equipment; Monitor and maintain laboratory records; Plan manpower requirement for execution of laboratory experiments
  • Conduct goal setting, performance appraisals and mentoring/coaching for team members; Collaborate with HR in manpower planning, recruitment activities and talent development efforts; Provide training to team members.

Education:
Masters in pharmacy/ Masters in science

Experience:
Minimum 6 years of experience in reputed companies with exposure in regulated markets

Competencies:
- Data interpretation and analysis skills
- Knowledge of formulations/ process knowledge
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes
- Knowledge of regulatory guidelines
- EHS knowledge
- Knowledge of SOPs
- Technical drafting skills
