Post: Assistant General Manager -Production (Upstream)
Job Description:
1.Run fermentation based manufacturing plant with maximum productivity and minimal breakdown.
2.Coordinate with Stores/Purchase for raw material planning and inventory control.
3.Coordinate with marketing and internal customers to plan the production schedules and timely delivery.
4.Coordinate with the process development team to develop cost effective processes for fermentation based products.
5.Responsible for growth of juniors and developing leaders in each production segment.
6.Coordinate with projects team to execute facility expansion projects for sterile as well as non-sterile APIs
Candidate Profile:
1.The candidate should have thorough understanding of fermentation based processes (ideally both upstream and downstream processes, but candidates with experience and understanding of only upstream operations may also apply)
2.Should have experience in manufacturing APIs for regulated markets with in-depth understanding of requirements for different regulatory bodies such as FDA and EMEA.
3.Should be well versed with cGMP aspects.
4.Should have demonstrated his ability to troubleshoot problems in complex fermentation processes.
5.Should have good knowledge of Plant automation.
6.Lean Six Sigma and ERP knowledge will be advantageous.
