Goa University was established in 1985 incorporating the then existing PG Centre for Instruction and Research of the University of Bombay. Located on the scenic Taleigao Plateau, the University has become the centre of higher education in the State of Goa. The 23 PG Departments and 2 Centres of studies offer academic programmes leading to masters and Ph.D. degrees in various disciplines. Applications are invited from candidates with Masters degree in Chemistry or Physics who are motivated to pursue Ph.D program in the area of Solid State Chemistry/Materials Science/Heterogeneous Catalysis.
The selected candidates will work on DST sponsored project entitled “Synthesis, Characterization and Applications of Functionalized Nanomaterials” for a period of 3 years.
Following positions are available:
1. JRF/Project Assistants: (minimum 2 posts) leading to Ph.D
Qualification: First Class Masters degree in the relevant subject with NET qualification
Salary:@Rs.16000-16000-18000 pm + HRA@20%
*In case NET qualified candidates are not available, candidates will be selected with consolidated pay of Rs. 8000/- per month
(*subject to approval from funding agency)
2. RA-I: (one post)
Qualification: Ph.D, preferably with experience in synthesis and applications of nanomaterials. Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D thesis may also apply.
Salary: @22,000/ pm + HR@20%
