Research Associate/Post-doctoral Fellow: under the DAE-Raja Ramanna Fellowship (up to June 30, 2014), remuneration as per qualifications prescribed by the DAE
Junior Research Fellow @ Rs. 16,000.00 p.m. (plus HRA as admissible) in a DBT sponsored multi-institutional project entitled "A Drosophila model for unraveling the link between cellular stress response, carcinogenesis and anticancer drug screening" (up to November 2014).
The posts are temporary and co-terminus with the respective project. Research would involve molecular cell biological and gene expression studies using Drosophila model. Candidates for RA/PDF should hold a Ph.D. degree (RA) or should have submitted thesis (PDF) in any branch of life sciences with experience in Genetics/Molecular Biology/Biochemistry and with consistently good academic career. Applicants for JRF should have a consistently good academic career with M.Sc. (at least 55% marks) in Zoology/Genetics/Molecular & Human Genetics/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences and should have preferably qualified CSIR-UGC NET or GATE. Upper age limit, 45 years for RA and 28 Years for JRF, is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Female candidates. Candidates should have good knowledge of basic Genetics and Cell Biology. All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.
