Opportunity for Fresher: Pharmacist invited in Border Security Force, Ministry of Home Affairs - Government of India - 31 posts

 

Clinical courses

Applications are invited from male/female Indian citizens for appointment to various posts of Para Medical staff Group ‘B’ & ‘C’ (combatised) in Border Security Force, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India in the pay scale as mentioned against each post plus DA & other allowances as admissible from time to time. The posts are temporary but likely to become permanent. Selected candidates are liable to be governed by BSF Act and Rules.

Applications are invited from Indian citizens for appointment for the following para-medical posts in BSF :

  • Assistant Sub-Inspector (Pharmacist-Qualified) : 31 posts (SC-13, ST-12,  OBC-6) , Pay Scale : Rs.5200-20200 grade pay Rs. 2800/-.
  • Assistant Sub-Inspector (Lab Technician) : 01 post (OBC-1) , Pay Scale : Rs.5200-20200 grade pay Rs. 2800/-.
  • Constable (Masalchi) : 02 posts (OBC-2) , Pay Scale : Rs.5200-20200 grade pay Rs. 2000/-
  • Constable (Table Boy) : 01 post (OBC-2) , Pay Scale : Rs.5200-20200 grade pay Rs. 2000/-
  • Constable (Peon) : 02 posts (OBC-2) , Pay Scale : Rs.5200-20200 grade pay Rs. 2000/-

Qualification for Pharmacist:
i) 10+2 or equivalent ii) Diploma in Pharmacy from any recognized Institution of the Central or a State Govt. for which the period of Training in two years followed by an internship of which the practical training shall not be less than five hundred hours spread over a period of not less than three months. Provided that not less than two hundred and fifty hours are devoted to actual dispensing of prescriptions. iii) Possessing the qualifications under Section 31 & 32 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948 and registered under Section 33 of the said Act.

How to Apply : Application in the prescribed format should be sent to  the respective IG BSF in different States of India as per the details given in the advertisement on or before 30 days from the date of publication in Employment News (published on 26/05/2012 in the Employment News and hence the last date is 25/06/2012.

AGE RELAXATION
a) Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC candidates for all posts.
b) Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for candidates already in Government service holding posts which are in the same line or in allied cadre in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government from time to time.
c) Relaxation in upper age limit of 05 years shall also be admissible to those candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from 01 Jan 1980 to 31 Dec’1989. Such candidates belonging to State of Jammu and Kashmir claiming age relaxation should produce a certificate obtained from the District Magistrate within whose jurisdiction they had ordinarily resided or from authorized designated in this behalf by the Govt. of J&K.
d) The relaxation in upper age limit of 05 years shall also be admissible to the children and dependent family members of those who were killed in the communal riots of the year 1984 and Gujrat of the year 2002. For getting this benefit, children and dependent family members of those killed in the riots should produce a certificate obtained from the District Magistrate within whose jurisdiction they had ordinarily resided or from authorized designated in this behalf by the concerned State Govt.

NOTE:- Candidates should note that the Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate only available on the closing date of submission of application will be accepted for determining the age eligibility and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.

(a) Visual standard should be 6/6 to right eye and 6/12 left eye or 6/9 both eye without optical device.
(b) The candidates must not have knock knees, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision. The candidates will be tested for colour vision by Ishahara’s test as well Edrich-Green Lantern Test. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
The event-wise selection procedure for all the advertised posts will be as follows:-
a) Documentation
b) Physical Measurement as per prescribed physical standard.
c) Physical Efficiency Test (in qualifying nature):-

Note (for female candidates only):-
“Pregnancy at the time of Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be a disqualification and pregnant female candidate will be rejected. However if any such candidate who as a result of tests at the time of medical examination, is found to be pregnant of twelve weeks standing or over shall be declared temporarily unfit and her appointment will be held in abeyance until the confinement is over.”

Note For the post of ASI (Pharmacist-Qualified) & ASI (Lab Technician) There will be one composite paper each for the above mentioned posts for two hours duration consisting of above mentioned parts having questions of “OBJECTIVE TYPE WITH MULTIPLE CHOICE” carrying one mark each.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
(a) The application form (Annexure ‘A’) must be filled by the candidate in his/her own handwriting / typewritten. Correction, if any, should be legible and attested by the candidate.
(b) Applications, which are not on prescribed format or not accompanied by the required enclosures or incomplete or defective shall be summarily rejected. No representation or correspondence regarding such rejection shall be entertained under any circumstances.
(c) Applications received after closing date and any enquiry in this regard will not be entertained by the Selection Board.
(d) The envelope containing the application must be superscripted in bold letters as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ASSTT. SUB INSPECTOR (PHARMACIST) / ASSTT SUB INSPECTOR (LAB TECHNICIAN)/ CONSTABLE (MASALCHI)/CONSTABLE (TABLE BOY)/CONSTABLE (PEON)” as the case may be.
(e) Candidate serving in Government/Semi Government/Public Sector undertakings should apply through proper channel. No objection certificate from their employer will be required to be submitted at the time of personal interview.
(f) Candidates are not required to submit any original certificates in support to their claims. They should ensure they fulfill all the eligibility conditions for admission to the tests and interview. If on verification at a later stage it is found that they do not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, their candidature will be cancelled by the Selection Board.
(g) Candidates are informed that written examination is only a preliminary test for screening and short listing. No result of any of the tests will be supplied to the candidates and no correspondence will be entertained by the Board in this regard.
(h) All eligible candidates who apply in response to this advertisement before the closing date will be assigned Registration/Roll Numbers. They will be communicated through Admit Cards for appearing in the selection process.
(j) The recruitment board shall not be liable for any claim arising out of any injury etc. suffered during the tests. The decision of the recruitment board shall be final in all matters connected with this recruitment
(k) The candidates called for interview and detailed medical examination will not be paid any TA/DA. However, under the provisions contained in GOI’s Order No. 4 below SR 132 relating to the grant of traveling allowance to SC/ST candidates called for interview (Group ‘C’ and ‘D’ advertised posts) recruitment authority can reimburse second class actual railway fare or Bus fare chargeable by the shortest route from Railway Station/Bus stand nearest to their normal place of residence or from which they actually performed the journey, whichever nearer to the place of interview and back to the same station, provided that the fare of the first 30 Kms in both cases (i.e. rail or road) is borne by the candidates and the re-imbursement restricted to the fare in respect of the balance of distance exceeding 30 Kms both ways. Extra charges if any incurred for reservation seat/sleeper berth in the train, will not be reimbursed to the candidates.
(l) The decision of the selection board with regard to the matters connected with this recruitment will be final in all respects.
(m) Success in the interview confers no right to appointment unless the department is satisfied after medical examination and such enquiry as may be considered necessary that the candidate is suitable in all respects for appointment to the service/post.
(n) The appointment will be subject to the conditions that the candidates are medically as well as physically fit. The selected candidates will have to undergo Basic Training at any of the Training Institutions of BSF. The services of those candidates who fail to complete the training successfully are liable to be terminated.
(o) Before applying, candidates in their own interest are advised to go through the detailed instructions contained in this notice carefully. This notice and specimen of the application is also available on the BSF Web Site www.bsf.nic.in.
(p) An employee serving in the same rank and pay grade will not be entitled to apply for said post.
(q) On behalf of Govt. of India, selection committee reserves its right to reject or accept the candidature of any applicant at any stage
(r) Selected candidates will be liable to serve anywhere in Union of India or abroad.
(s) Candidates seeking reservation benefits for SC/ST/OBC must ensure that they are entitled to such reservation as per eligibility prescribed in the Notice. They should also be in possession of the certificates in the format prescribed by Government of India in support of their claim at the time of application.
(t) Candidate will be governed by BSF Act and Rules and as amended from time to time.
(u) The NEW RESTRUCTURED DEFINED CONTRIBUTION PENSION SYSTEM applicable for the new entrants to the Central govt. service w.e.f. Jan 2004 will also be applicable.
(v) Wherever applicable, the candidates must indicate/write the answer either in Hindi or in English or vice versa. If answers are indicated/written partly in Hindi and partly in English and vice versa, the answer script will not be evaluated and the candidate will be awarded zero marks.
