Cancer remains a global concern not only for clinicians, but also for chemist owing to its alarming incidence rate. Conventional cancer chemotherapeutics are inadequate requiring newer molecule for its cure and management. Heterocyclic chemistry emerges as a distinct branch of organic chemistry responsible for yielding uncountable pharmacologically active substances among nitrogen containing ring systems are thoroughly investigated owing to their unique characteristic.
