The St. John's Research Institute (SJRI) is a part of the St John's National Academy of Health Sciences, which is run by the CBCI Society for Medical Education. From its inception, St. John's has set before it an ideal of excellence in academic courses as well as service to society as a result of which it has truly become holistic both in its outlook and in its approach to the problems of community health.  In 2000, the Academy decided that its commitment to excellence in research required the setting up of an Institute that was dedicated to the pursuit of research and capacity development in St. John's. This vision encompassed improvement of health of the community and patients through research and development of a Center for Excellence in medical research in India.

Post : Project Research Scientist -I - ICMR -IIRPIG (NAG)-1 Project 

Job Summary:
Luminal breast cancer subtype comprises a major proportion of all breast cancer types and have cold tumor microenvironment and hence are notoriously non-responsive to chemotherapy. Project focus is if altered lipid metabolism responsible for the poor response in these patients and can the sphingolipid and ganglioside metabolic pathways be targeted to elicit antitumor immune response.

Salary: 72,800/- pm

Key Responsibilities:
- Person with post graduate qualification in life sciences with research experience in molecular biology is required for tissue handling.
- Perform spatial profiling DNA, RNA extractions, quantitation.
- Purifications, assist in sequencing, and performing multiplex IHC, qPCR validation.

Eligibility Criteria:
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in life science with molecular Biology experience is preferred. MSc (first class) in Life sciences with extensive wet lab experience in molecular biology may also apply

Preferred Language: Good Communication in English
Age Limit:  35 Years

Experience: Previous experience in cancer biology and molecular biology is preferred
