NIMHANS is conducting a Walk in Selection for filling up the post of Project Research Scientist -1 (Non- Medical) on contract basis under an Indian Council of Medical Research funded project titled "Development of Hand-Held Immunosensor Device using Bioinspired Graphene Based Nanocomposites for the detection of Parkinson's disease biomarkers" under Dr. Phalguni Anand Alladi, Senior Scientific Officer - Scientist "G", TATA Innovation Fellow, Department of Clinical Psychopharmacology and Neurotoxicology. Essential Qualification : • Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees, Masters in Pharmacology / M. Sc in Neurosciences/Life Sciences
Desirable Qualification :
• Research experience of at least two years, with demonstrable experience in laboratory to human practices related blood/serum/plasma, ELISA, immunohistochemistry, etc. Experience in mice/rodent handling and experimentation will be advantageous.
• Publications: In Peer-review Pub-Med Indexed Journals. Please mention the impact factor, for the year of publication.
Nature of work : The candidate will be involved in designing and conducting experiments (separation of human blood into serum/plasma, performing ELISA, Immunohistochemistry, etc) and data analysis. Any other technical/administrative work assigned by the project investigators.
Emoluments/Salary : Rs. 56,000/- + 30% HRA per month
Maximum Age Limit : 35 years
Duration of Project : Till 14 Mar 2027
Duration of Post : The initial appointment will be made for a period of 6 months and may be renewed for another 6 months, based on the candidate’s performance, subject to the continuation of the project.
Note
• Candidates are required to report/join 30 minutes before the scheduled time for the interview/written test, whether conducted online or offline.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test/interview.
• Candidates currently working in projects (Extramural/Intramural) at NIMHANS must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their Principal Investigator.
• The candidate should have scored a minimum of 50% in the written examination (Whenever written examination is indicated) to qualify for the skill test/interview. For Direct Interview the candidate should score at least 50% Marks in the interview.
• The Institute reserves the right to select a suitable candidate. Possession of the prescribed essential qualifications alone does not guarantee selection.
• No hostel accommodation will be provided for project staff.
