Applications are invited for (a) one post of Project Research Scientist-1 (non-Medical) and (b) one post of Project Technical Support II and (c) one post of Project Technical Support III in an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded project entitled ‘“A multicentre, randomized trial of a 12 week home-based pulmonary rehabilitation program in interstitial lung disease”.
All posts are purely on contract basis initially for up to one year, or until completion of project, and those selected will have no claim to regular appointment under ICMR or any other project.
Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) — One Post
Eligibility : M.Sc. (Life Sciences) / MBBS / M.Pharm / BDS or equivalent
Desirable : Two years or more experience in a research project and experience in advice related to nutrition, physiotherapy and pulmonary rehabilitation. Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
Age Limit : Below 30 years (5 years relaxation in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH Women candidates)
Emoluments : As per ICMR guidelines (currently Rs. 56,000 + 20% HRA = Rs. 67,200/- per month)
Project Technical Support-II — One Post
Eligibility : 12th Pass in Science + Diploma (MLT/DMLT/Engineering or equivalent) + five years experience in relevant subject/field OR Three years Graduate degree in MLT + two years experience in relevant subject
Desirable : One year or more experience in a research project
Age Limit : Below 30 years (5 years relaxation in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH Women candidates)
Emoluments : As per ICMR guidelines (currently Rs. 20,000 + 20% HRA = Rs. 24,000/- per month fixed)
Project Technical Support-III — One Post
Eligibility : Three years graduate degree in MLT/Dietetics/Physiotherapy + three years experience in above OR PG in above
Desirable : One year or more experience in a research project and experience in advice related to nutrition, physiotherapy and pulmonary rehabilitation
Age Limit : Below 30 years (5 years relaxation in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH/Women candidates)
Emoluments : As per ICMR guidelines (currently Rs. 28,000 + 20% HRA = Rs. 33,600/- per month fixed)
Interested candidates may submit their two-page bio-data, along with self-attested testimonials and any other supporting document, to the office of the undersigned by 4:00 PM on 05-0ct-2026, clearly mentioning the post applied for. This bio-data must provide clear and complete information on the candidate’s eligibility and relevant experience for post applied for, and include his/her e-mail address and mobile number. After scrutiny of all applications, only the shortlisted applicants will be personally interviewed. The first round may involve a written test.
Interview will be held at 3:00 pm on 06-0ct-2026 at the Committee Room of Internal Medicine, Nehru Hospital, 4th Floor, F Block, PGIMER, Chandigarh. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.
The appointment date is expected to be 15th October, but may vary subject to the transfer of funds by the ICMR.
