Applications from eligible candidates for the following post on a contract basis under the project entitled AIIMS Mangalagiri - Technical Resource Centre, Centre for Evidence-Based Guidelines, funded by the Department of Health Research, ICMR, MOHFW, under the guidance of Principal Investigator: Dr Vikram Damaraju, Assistant Professor of Pulmonary Medicine, AIIMS Mangalagiri. Engagement against the positions will be purely temporary/contractual and will be governed by the prevailing ICMR Non-Institutional Project Human Resource guidelines and amendments/clarifications issued from time to time.

Essential Qualification 
1. Postgraduate degree in Public Health (MPH)/Epidemiology/ Statistics/Environmental Sciences/Population Sciences/Demography/Health Economics/HTA/Pharmacy (M.Pharm) with 3 years of post PG experience in research/projects and at least one research paper in SCIE journal OR 
2. MD/MS/MDS or PhD in Public Health/Statistics/ Epidemiology/Health Sciences 

Desirable Project Specific Experience 
Preference will be given to the candidate with: Publications (Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis) as first or corresponding author in SCIE Q1 journals. High-level expertise for conducting data analysis using R Programming, SPSS, and STATA. 

Maximum Age Limit : 40 years 
Duration of Project : 12 months recurring/non-recurring 

Duration of Post : An initial appointment will be made for a period of 12 months and renewable based on the performance of the candidate (maximum three years)

Emoluments / Salary : Rs. 67,000 + HRA as applicable (20%)

Job Responsibilities
1. Develop and register technical protocols for conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses 
2. Undertake systematic review and meta-analysis of the topics decided by the Technical Resource Centre (TRC) 
3. Manuscript writing of the evidence synthesis projects 
4. Planning and organisation of the training programs and workshops on systematic review and other evidence synthesis topics under the TRC 
5. Convene and/or attend meetings, trainings and webinars of the TRC as decided by the Principal Investigator 
6. Report writing for the TRC activities at intervals decided by the Principal Investigator 
7. Managing the day-to-day functioning, activities, and record-keeping of the TRC 
8. Any other duties/responsibilities assigned by the Principal Investigator

Tenure and Nature of Engagement
1. The engagement will be purely temporary/contractual, initially for up to one year, extendable subject to satisfactory performance, project requirements, availability of funds, continuation of the sanctioned position/project, and applicable ICMR rules. The engagement shall automatically cease on expiry of the sanctioned tenure unless formally extended by the competent authority. 
2. The appointment will not confer any right or claim for regular appointment/absorption in AIIMS Mangalagiri, ICMR, DHR or any other Government organisation. 
3. The selected candidate shall be required to execute an undertaking/term of engagement as prescribed under applicable ICMR/Institute rules. 
4. Either party (the appointee or the appointing authority) may terminate the appointment by giving 30 days' notice to the other party. 
5. The candidate is not admissible for any er allowances other than the consolidated mentioned salary per month and HRA


IMPORTANT NOTES
1. All educational qualifications/certificates shall be from a recognised Board/University/Institution, as applicable. 
2. Experience, wherever prescribed, shall be counted after completion of the minimum essential qualification and should be in the relevant field/area required for the project. 
3. The desirable qualifications/experience stated above are project-specific preferences and do not replace the ICMR minimum essential qualifications.
 4. Age relaxation shall be admissible only as per applicable Government of India/ICMR rules and orders. Under the ICMR guideline dated 18.10.2024, age relaxation up to five years may be considered for deserving candidates having experience in a Government Research Organisation, on a case-to-case basis by the competent authority. 
5. Paid leave entitlement shall be governed by the applicable ICMR rules, including amendments issued from time to time.

Instructions to Candidates
1. Candidates must ensure that they fulfil the essential eligibility criteria for the post applied for. Mere fulfilment of eligibility criteria does not confer a right to be called for the selection process. 
2. Depending on the number of eligible applicants, a written test and/or skill test may be conducted to shortlist candidates for interview. Details of the selection process/schedule will be notified on the AIIMS Mangalagiri website. 
3. Selected candidates may be required to perform Sunday/holiday/exigency duties as per project requirements after appropriate training. 
4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test/skill test/interview. 
5. Please come prepared to stay one more day after the scheduled date, in case of schedule overruns. 
6. Please make your own arrangements at your own cost for your stay to attend the walk-in interview during the period. 
7. A valid email ID and mobile number are mandatory and should remain active during the recruitment process. 
8. No allowance/facility other than the approved consolidated remuneration/HRA and statutory benefits, if applicable under prevailing rules, shall be admissible. 
9. Submission of false, incorrect or suppressed information/documentation at any stage shall lead to disqualification/cancellation of candidature or engagement. 
10. The engagement may be terminated in accordance with the terms of appointment and applicable ICMR/Institute rules. A candidate wishing to leave the position after joining shall be governed by the notice provisions specified in the appointment/engagement order 

11. Any form of canvassing will lead to disqualification. 
12. No correspondence regarding the selection process will be entertained except through the notified official channel.
