The Regional Drugs Testing Laboratory (RDTL) - Chandigarh is one of the Seven National Drugs Testing Laboratories of Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), set-up under the requirement for the testing of Drugs & Cosmetics products, working since November-2007. The Laboratory has been developed for the Quality Control of Drugs & Cosmetic products with respect to Infrastructure, Equipment and Manpower for the Chemical, Instrumentation and Microbiological analysis.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for appointment to the following post in Regional Drugs Testing Laboratory (RDTL), Chandigarh, Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation, Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare on Deputation basis:
Pay as per 7th CPC : Pay Level 13 of 7th CPC (Rs. 123100 - 215900)

Eligibility
Officers of the Central Government or State Government or Union territory
Administrations or autonomous or statutory organisation or public sector undertaking or
university or recognised research institution :
(a) PhD holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
(ii) with five years’ of regular service rendered after appointment to the post on a regular basis in level 12 (Rs. 78800-209200) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; or
(iii) with ten years’ of regular service rendered after appointment to the post on a regular basis in the level 11 (Rs. 67700-208700) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and
(b) possessing the qualification mentioned below, namely:-
(i) Essential:-
(A) Educational qualification: Masters Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Pharmacology or Bacteriology or Medicine or Microbiology or Biotechnology from a recognised University or Institute; and
(B) Experience: Twelve years’ experience in drugs testing and standardisation and research from a recognised institute.
(ii) Desirable: Doctorate Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Pharmacology or Bacteriology or Medicine or Microbiology or Biotechnology from a recognised University or Institute.
Note 1: The departmental officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation. Similarly, the deputationist shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion.
Note 2: The period of deputation (including short term contract) including the period of deputation (including short-term contract) in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation or department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed five years.
Note 3: The maximum age-limit for appointment by deputation shall be not exceeding fifty-six years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.

3. Attested copies of APAR/ACRs for the last 5 (five) years duly attested on each page by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary to the Government of India.
4. Integrity Certificate
5. Vigilance Clearance Certificate
6. Statement of major or minor penalties, if any, imposed on the officer during the last 10 years of service.
7. A certificate to the effect that the particulars furnished by the candidate have been verified and found correct as per service records.
8. Cadre Clearance Certificate.
