Advertisement for Research Associate positions at JNCASR under the Department of Science and Technology

The Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) is a multidisciplinary research institute located in Jakkur, Bengaluru, established in 1989 by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The Centre focuses on advanced research and training in frontier areas of science and engineering, including materials science, chemistry, physics, biology, genetics, engineering and neuroscience.
JNCASR is an autonomous institution under the Department of Science and Technology and a Deemed-to-be University, offering research-oriented programmes including Ph.D., Integrated Ph.D., M.Sc. and M.S. programmes. The institute is equipped with advanced research facilities and promotes interdisciplinary research through collaborations with national and international institutions.

Post: Research Associate (Remuneration Rs. 58,000/- plus 30% HRA)

Applications are invited for a temporary position of Research Associate sanctioned in the DST- sponsored project entitled “AMP-inspired rapid point-of-care detection platform for lipopolysaccharide and Gram-negative bacteria” under the Principal Investigator Prof. Jayanta Haldar, New Chemistry Unit, JNCASR, Jakkur, Bengaluru, 560 064.

Essential Qualification: Ph.D (Chemical sciences) or equivalent degree or 5 years of research, teaching, design and development after M.Sc/M.Pharm/M.E/M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI) Journal.
Desirable Qualification: Candidates having research experience in organic synthesis, peptide synthesis, purification and characterization will be preferred.

Max. Age limit: 35 years
