Baba Farid University of Health Sciences was established under an Act passed by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in July, 1998. The mission of the University is to create an intellectual, academic and physical environment, conducive to free flow of ideas and exchange of information between various faculties of the University and between this University and other Universities of Health Sciences in the country and abroad,thereby opening a window to the world for the health professionals, health planners, health managers, biomedical and social scientists and educators in health sciences of the country.

Pay Scale : (Pay Scale (Level in the pay matrix as per 7th Central Pay Commission) and amendment issued from time to time by Finance Department, Govt. of Punjab pay level: 9, 10, 11, 12) of post.
Phytomedicine
Essential Qualification (For Entry Level Posts) : M.Sc. (Biotechnology Biochemistry/Bioinformatics/Pharmacology/ Botanical Sciences/ Medicinal Plants)/M.Pharm (Pharmacognosy/Medicinal Plants/Herbal Drugs with atleast 15 publications in National/International Journals. At least 15 years experience in teaching/research on medicinal plants/herbal drugs. Or Ph.D. (Pharmaceutical Sciences/Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Pharmacology/ Bioinformatics/ Pharmacognosy/ Botany/Medicinal Plants/ Herbal Drugs/ Life Sciences) or equivalent from a recognized University/ Institution with at least 5 publications in National/International Journals. Atleast 2 years experience in teaching/research on medicinal plants/ herbal drugs /Phytomedicine/Life Sciences/ Pharmaceutical Sciences. Or Equivalent qualifications from recognized University/Institution.
Desirable Qualification : Experience in Phytomedicine
Biotechnology
Essential Qualification (For Entry Level Posts) : MSc in Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Bioinformatics/Life Sciences or equivalent with 3 years teaching/research experience
Desirable Qualification : PhD in concerned subject Publications in National/International Index Journals
Integrated Medicine
Essential Qualification (For Entry Level Posts) : MD from recognized NMC Institutions/PG in Ayurveda/Siddha/Yoga & Naturopathy/Unani/Homoeopathy/Pharmacology/ Pharmacognosy or equivalent with 3 years teaching/research experience
Desirable Qualification : PhD in concerned subject Publications in National/International Index Journals
Research Officer
Essential Qualification (For Entry Level Posts) : MD/MS/DNB/MDS/M.Pharma/MBBS/BDS/BAMS/MSc (Clinical Research/Pharmacology/Biostatics/ Biochemistry/ Pharmaceutical Sciences) or equivalent qualification from a recognized University/Institution
Desirable Qualification : Experience in the concerned discipline. Publications in National/International Index Journals
Note : Administrative experience will also be counted.

For SC Category Rs.1180/-(FeeRs.1000+GSTRs.180@18%) 2. The University has right to increase or decrease the number of posts as per the requirement of the institute or not to fill any or all the posts.
3. Upper Age limit: Age calculated as on 01st January 2025. The age of the candidate will be as per the University rules/ Govt. of Punjab. Relaxation in upper age limit as per Punjab Govt. or University Rules.
4. The Application on prescribed proforma must accompany self attested copies of certificates for proof of date of birth, marks sheet, degree, experience, category certificate (if applicable), residence proof, publications etc.
5. The applicant is required after filling online application for the post submit hard copy of online application and must accompany self attested copies of certificate i.e. proof of date of birth, marks sheet, degree, experience, residence, category certificate (if applicable), fee receipt proof etc at the office of the Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Sadiq Road Faridkot upto 24-09-2025.
6. The applications received without fee or without legible copies of documents or apparently containing incomplete information and those received after the prescribed date & time will be summarily rejected.
7. Applicant must possess the requisite qualification by the last date of receipt of application.
8. Candidates already in service must route their application Through Proper Channel.
9. Reservation policy as per Punjab Govt. rules.
10. Separate application/proforma may be used for each post.
11. The candidate must have knowledge of Punjabi language upto matriculation standard or equivalent and in case he does not, must acquire the same within six months of joining.
12. Wherever suitable candidate is not available, the terms & conditions and age may be relaxed on the directions of the Higher Authorities.
